Penetrating Question: If one of NECHE’s institutions had campuses in Boston, Dubai and London, which one do you think I’d visit first? (Okay, that’s a bit of a trick question since I was already going to London and thus made it irresistible to choose Hult International Business School.)

In addition to being accredited by NECHE since 1976, Hult is recognized by business education’s three most prestigious international accrediting bodies: The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB International), the Association of MBAs (AMBA), and The European Quality Improvement System (EQUIS).

Hult London’s undergraduate campus lies in ultra-swank East London–within walking distance of Europe’s largest start-up hub, Tech City, and a stone’s throw from London’s world-renowned financial district. The campus is one huge building– a luxuriously re-designed edifice dating back to the mid-18th century that now houses its undergraduate college of almost 700 students. John Walker & Sons Ltd (aka Johnnie Walker) of Kilmarnock, Scotland occupied the premises before Hult and used the address for its bonded whisky stores and bottling plant. Because this is London, history is everywhere. For example: in 1944, a German V1 flying bomb destroyed the building right next door. It was replaced by a new residential center housing many of Hult’s students.

Hult’s graduate campus is located several miles away, at the intersection of Bloomsbury, the city’s academic center, and Holborn, a major media and advertising hub.
As the name suggests, business is the beating heart of Hult’s academic programs, both undergraduate and graduate. Every student is a business major, but majoring in different concentrations such as entrepreneurship, marketing, finance, and management. Hult’s international moniker is also accurate, as its campuses span three countries and students hail from more than fifty countries. American students comprise barely 10% of Hult’s student body, and two-thirds of Hult graduates will begin their career in a different country than their country of origin.

Why do students choose Hult? Here’s how they answer:
Hult develops core human skills
Employers are no longer interested in what graduates know, or how good they are at taking tests. They want to know what graduates can do and are looking for people with professional and human skills.
Hult is an international experience
Hult students develop their global mindset by studying across its international campuses as part of a diverse student community where no single country represents more than 10% of the class.
Hult is connected to the real world
The Hult program is taught by professors well-versed in the real business world and is centered around solving real challenges that real companies are facing. Companies like Unilever, L’Oréal, PWC, and CBRE.

Well, that’s pretty convincing! If I were fifty years younger and interested in the world of business, I’d definitely be sending my application into Hult London.

It’s such a fascinating, vibrant city no global brand can be considered a player without a presence here. (And the fact that it’s home to a plethora of Premier League soccer teams is just a wee bonus.)
Truly an impressive visit!
